In the heart of Macon, Georgia, a new retail sanctuary has emerged, promising an enchanting journey into lifestyle goods, found objects, and art. Located at 811 Forsyth Street, next door to H and H Restaurant and a neighbor to Bear’s Books, you’ll find Macon’s newest gem – Rabbit Hole. Rabbit Hole is co-owned by the renowned American painter Cedric Smith and Autumn Van Gunten, a social media entrepreneur known for her venture, Socially Yours. 

Elizabeth first met Autumn back “before COVID” at one of Macon Magazine’s Women in Business events. Autumn introduced herself as new to Macon and explained she’d just moved from Savannah where she’d lived for several years. The two shared an instant connection and love for the creative coast.

As Autumn and Cedric’s vision for the new store developed, they approached ES&Co. for help bringing the retail brand to life. The brand identity designed by ES&Co. features several logo variations. One design features a rabbit illustration by Cedric paired with a sophisticated font. The slight tilt in the letter “o” adds a bit of whimsy to the high-end vibe. 

A second variation showcases a custom ligature created by Elizabeth. The merging of the letters R and H creates a new mark that is unique and something Rabbit Hole can claim as its own. Elizabeth gets nerdy and loves pointing out the way the lower serif of the R cleverly resembles a rabbit’s paw, gently wrapping around and embracing the H.

Rabbit Hole welcomes visitors during the following hours: Wednesday and Thursday from 11 am to 5 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm (Closed on Monday and Tuesday).
